What lessons do you think the Holocaust teaches you specifically?  Elaborate on your ideas.

What is the difference between a right and a responsibility?  What are some of your rights and your responsibilities?  Do you think the Jews rights were respected? Why or Why not?  Do you think the SS officers had a choice to do what they did or was it their responsibility?  Explain.

“You are not defined by what happens to you but by what you choose to do about it.”  Explain if you agree or disagree with this statement.

When is life worth saving?  How far would you go to save the life of someone you had never met? Think hard on this – have you ever stood up to a bully? 

Compassion = What if that were me/I’m glad that is not me.  What does this mean and how does it apply to your life.  Give an example.

If you haven’t made small sacrifices for others, how can you expect to make big ones?  Why is sacrifice an important part of life?

Why it is hard to do the right thing even though it is not the popular thing?  Give one real life situation that occurred and describe why it was right and just and difficult.
